Sunbeam Over-the-Range Microwaves Recalled

Sunbeam in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of select over-the-range microwaves due to an internal electrical arcing that can pose a fire hazard.

The recall includes Sunbeam Over-the-Range microwave ovens that have serial numbers between A0701161370000001 through A0701161370000304. The serial numbers can be found on the inside of the microwave. A label displaying “Model number SNM1501RA” can be found on the back.

Consumers should immediately cease using the microwaves and contact Petters for a free replacement microwave. The manufacturer of the mobile homes containing the recalled microwaves is notifying consumers directly.
