Four college students and two others die in bus accident.

A chartered bus carrying a college baseball team flipped over the concrete railing of a Georgia interstate overpass early Friday morning and dropped 24 feet to the highway below killing six people and injury 29 others, according to a story in the Orange County Register.

The baseball team from Bluffton University in Ohio was traveling to Florida’s Gulf Coast for a season-opening double-header later that day, followed by a week of games when the yet unexplained “>bus accident occured.

The fatalities included the bus driver, the driver’s wife and four student athletes, two freshmen and two sophomores. Three students, among the nineteen taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, were in critical condition. Seven students were taken to Atlanta Medical Center and three to Piedmont Hospital.

The bus struck a truck below but did not injure its occupant.
